Philadelphia Union vs DC United

by Kimi Nguyen on Major League Soccer (MLS)

We are offering more soccer predictions than those.

The last time we blogged about D.C United, the club had the worst form in the league. At the moment, D.C United is still languishing at the bottom. However, their recent form is noteworthy.

The season is practically over for D.C United, sitting last in Eastern Conference (13 points/22 games). D.C United’s both dismal attack and defence are the worst in the league. However, as D.C United will not relegate*, there isn’t any pressure on them either. That is exactly why they start to win more occasionally in MLS and US Open Cup.

Meanwhile, one of the youngest club in Major League Soccer, 5-year-old Philadephia Union, has only been to play-off once (reached conference semifinals in 2011). They have good chance to qualify for play-off this season, ranking 4th in the conference. However, the pressure’s piling up on the Union as lower-ranked teams like Houston Dynamo, New England Revolution and Chicago Fire are all playing less games.

(*) There is no relegation from Major League Soccer; the league cites the main reason as the nature of the franchise system. The owner has purchased the right to operate a major league team in a specific city, and relegation would in effect be a breach of that contract by the league. (source: Wikipedia)

Betting Tips

BETEGY thinks Philadelphia Union will shrug off the pressure to overcome D.C United. Why? The last time D.C. United won an away game was November 2012. Maybe not now.
