El Clasico: Barcelona vs Real Madrid

by Caroline on La Liga

This Saturday the eyes of the whole football world will be focused on Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid where Real Madrid will host the leader in Primera Division and their biggest rival Barcelona in the first El Classico of the season.

El Clasico (25.10.2014)

Dracula is back

The biggest news around Barcelona is that Luis Suarez is finally available to play for his new club after his 65 million transfer from Liverpool this summer. His FIFA ban is finally over and he can make his official debut in the El Classico this Saturday. Suarez was banned from FIFA for four months because of the accident he was involved in Brasil, where he bit Giorgio Chiellini, Italian national player.

Speed vs. Elegance

Barcelona is the leader in La Liga and the club has not conceded a goal yet so far in the league, while Los Merengues are on the third place. This year it seems that the Catalonians have strengthened the defence and their attack looks even more impressive with the trio Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez in front.

Barca will take revenge for Copa del Rey?

Carlo Ancelotti won’t be able to use Gareth Bale who suffers with injury. Last year he made the difference between the two teams in the Copa Del Rey final after showing his amazing speed and top class finish and scoring the winning goal. Even though, the leader of the team Cristiano Ronaldo is in top form considering his 15 goals in only 8 games from the beginning of the season. Barcelona has dominated the games with this opponent in the last few years after winning 6 out of their last 10 clashes against Real and losing only twice in La Liga. Last year game between these sides on Bernabeu has finished with 3-4 win for Barcelona with the referee pointing three penalties for both teams.

Ronaldo or Messi, Suarez or Rodríguez?

Cristiano Ronaldo against Lionel Messi. The best attacking team in Spain against the best defending one. One thing we know for sure is that El Classico never disappoints football fans. This Saturday we will have a chance to see the rise of new generation of Galácticos.
